CLOUDY with a chance of MEATBALLS!

For W day in summer school, I decided to change it up a bit.  During the school year, we discuss all types of weather so for this day, I thought it would be fun to integrate the idea of "fantasy" versus "real"--a skill we covered in reading.  So, I read Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, discussing types of weather that are real and those that are fantasy.  After reading, the students answered the prompt: "I wish it would rain (number)    (food item). "  During math, I designed a double digit worksheet that went along with the same idea!  :)
