OH, What I want to be when I grow up...

Whew!  After some summer fun, I have finally come back to reality!  :) I wanted to update some of the things I did in summer school, but forgot to post!  On "O" day (my summer school curriculum was themed on letters of the Alphabet), we studied occupations.  We had one guest speaker, and we also researched careers using various books provided by the librarian (a BIG THANKS to her!).

After the students did some researching, learning about different careers, they each picked a profession they would like to do when they grow up.  They each filled out a brief information sheet stating what their occupation would be, what they would do, what tools they would use, and, just for fun, how much they would make each day.  ;)

After they completed their information sheets (which you can find here), they made LIFE SIZE drawings of themselves.  In their drawings, they were to ensure they were dressed in clothes for their occupation, as well as carrying any tools they would use for their occupation!  The students loved it!  It was amazing to see their creativity "take flight!"
